If you ask skippers what they fear most about sailing and they will almost certainly say "parking the boat".

This one-day course is designed to teach skippers and crew how to handle a yacht under power including parking (berthing) and maneuvering in a confined space. We will spend the day practicing both in the vast basin of the Haven Marina and in the tidal waters of the River Orwell.

The course is designed to appeal to all experience levels whether you are learning to berth a boat for the first time or you are an experienced skipper wanting to hone your skills and enhance your repertoire.

At the end of this course you will have gained first hand experience of handling a yacht under power and will have developed techniques that can be applied to any yacht under various tide and wind conditions.

NOTE: This is not an RYA course.
